Bringing Peace to Your
Fourth Trimester

cindypic_edited.jpg

Hello, I'm Cindy Hayes

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Went to school in the San Fernando Valley and studied Early Childhood development at UCLA. Found my love for teaching at the Hollywood School House while working for the P.A.L. (Police Activities League) program in the community I lived in. I was offered a traveling nanny position in Beverly Hills and was able to be involved in an intimate, home environment. I continued nannying for many years and eventually began teaching preschool and pre-kindergarten. When my daughter was small, I began teaching mommy and me classes and after suffering terribly with postpartum depression myself, started a support group for moms. With my experience and education, I was confident to lead, but was overwhelmed by the lack of support for moms. My experience with Postpartum depression was literally life changing, I have been able to help so many moms since then, because I KNOW what it is like and what comes with it. I’m grateful for that now. I have been married for almost 24 years. My husband has been in the military for 27 years and we have lived all over the United States. We are proud parents of an amazing 23-year-old daughter, Savannah who is in Graduate School at Auburn University in Alabama. I have continued with my education and have been certified as Newborn Care Specialist and a Post Partum Doula. I have remained a member of the NAEYC now for almost 20 years and I am excited to see the growth education for infants and children. I love my job, because While I do move quite often, my job allows for that! I recently had someone ask me what the best part of my job was. The best part is watching a new family form! I meet a couple expecting a baby and they have no idea what is about to happen to them. I love watching the flower unfold and watching that mom console that baby and that dad feed his child, there… the family is born. Then, I leave, my job is done.

Who I am...

I get it—being a new mom comes with a whole world of feelings, from joy to stress. You don't have to navigate this journey alone. I'm here to offer you balance, comfort, and the support you deserve.

My Journey to Becoming a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula:

I became a certified Newborn Care Specialist after 20+ years in childcare. I have worked and taught children of all ages during that time, but after finding this specialty, I realized this is my true passion.I was drawn to becoming a postpartum doula because I saw firsthand the difference that informed, loving support can make. I realized that a little help goes a long way during this tender phase.

Experience and Credentials:

I bring many, many years of heartfelt service to my role as your NCS and postpartum doula. I am certified in both rolls throw Newborn Care Solutions and CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). I attended UCLA and have taught Elementary age and preschool age children. Before specializing as a Newborn Care Specialist, I was a traditional nanny for many families specializing in multiples. My experience has taught me how to effectively support new families so they can truly enjoy this special chapter.
